001. Employment @ fandomjournal
I don’t really have a job per say or at least, I don’t get paid for risking my neck on a weekly basis but I guess being an X-man would fit under employment. Think I could put it on my resume? Although I highly doubt anyone’s gonna be looking for someone to fight evil mutants in your normal workplace but I could be wrong. God only knows what goes on in the corporate lifestyle these days.

Wouldn’t mind having a real job though. I would love to make a little cash working somewhere fun and preferably far, far away from the other kids at the mansion. Maybe like working at music store or a book store could be fun…

Well, that’s just a pipe dream anyhow. It’s not like I could work out in the public like that after being exposed for what I am and considering what can happen if I accidently get too close to someone. I wouldn’t want another repeat of what happened at the rock concert we went to last year, would I? Just thinking about absorbing all those memories makes me sick to my stomach. No, I think I’m better off sticking with the X-men for now.


1. What do you like most about your job?

Even though it’s not an “official” job, I have to say there are things that I like about being an X-man. Stopping bad guys, helping people, but I think the thing I like the most about the whole shebang is how alive I feel when we’re out. I feel like I’m energized, like I could do anything even though half the time I’m terrified. There’s few things in life that’ll make you feel like that.

2.What do you like least about your job?

Having to use my powers. If I can, I’ll avoid absorbing another person’s lifeforce like the plague because frankly, it can be pretty unpleasant. Like when I touched Sabertooth. Now there’s a guy who’s got issues.

…Course, it ain’t all bad. Like when I absorbed Scott.

3. What work activity is most challenging for you?

Following orders from Jean. I can’t help it. I don’t like her, I don’t like listening to her and I sometimes I’m sick of looking at her. Those kinda feelings can get in the way when we’re out in the field.

4. What is your favorite work activity?

Kicking ass.

Seriously, I like a good brawl and taking down someone bigger than me.

5. What work-related skills are you good at?

I’m pretty good at fighting and I’ve recently learned how good I am at sneaking in places thanks to Mystique and Mesmero.

6. What work-related skills would you like to learn more about?

I don’t, maybe flying. It would nice to have control over the Blackbird sometime but Scott’s such a hog when it comes to that plan. Boys!

7. If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I wish I could touch people. It sucks being untouchable.

8. When you have a bad day at work, it is usually because…

Jean was bossy, I made a mistake, Evan was annoying….the list goes on.

9. When you have leisure time, what do you like to do?

Read, play guitar, be alone. Generally I just like spending my time away from the others as much as possible.

10. What other career(s) are you interested in?

Well…I always thought I was kinda good at playing the guitar…no, no, that’s stupid. A nobody like me ain’t gonna make a career out of playing the guitar. Maybe mechanics. Logan let’s me help fix his bike and the professor’s cars and he’s says I’m a natural.

11. Do you take outside lessons or classes of any kind?

I’m in highschool right now so I’m doing your average classes, history, English, German, Math…the usual.

12. Do you have any pets?

Does Kurt count? I’m kidding, I’m kidding…god, I hope he doesn’t see this. No, I don't have any pets.

13. What is your favorite:

• Food – Hush puppies.

• Friend – Aw, Christ…do I have to answer that? Kurt probably.
